PROTECT EMERGENCY RESPONSE

Without additional funding emergency response will be reduced. This will result in less resources to respond and longer response times to emergencies.  Measure Q ensures these services will keep up with the demands of the community and provide efficient emergency fire and medical response to keep our community safe.  Even in this Covid-19 pandemic era maintaining our Fire/Medical response is critical to the safety of our citizens.

ENSURE FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY

Measure Q ensures our tax dollars are used for local safety services by providing strong accountability, including annual audits, transparent budgeting, and public oversight. All Measure Q revenue and expenditures will be separately accounted and available for public viewing. Let’s keep our essential safety dollars local to protect Daly City.

PROVIDE PREVENTION MEASURES AGAINST DISASTERS

We rely on our emergency responders every day to protect our community from the threat of fires and medical emergencies.  Paramedic services are essential to protect the most vulnerable members of our community – seniors and youth. Measure Q will provide funding to prepare for natural disasters and public health emergencies.  Voting Yes on Measure Q will protect Daly City.

PREVENT INSURANCE CANCELLATIONS

Fire protection service is a critical risk factor in setting insurance rates. Eroded fire protection and lack of prevention programs may cause our community ratings to drop, and may result in cancellation of policies, higher insurance ratings, un-insurable properties, and reduction in property values. Measure Q ensures our essential services function at the highest level to help prevent insurance cancellations and higher premiums.
